Back in 2004 we aspired to start a packaging unit and had the option of choosing expanded polystyrene or paper. Given that polystyrene is a pollutant, we chose to follow the path of paper based packaging but gave it a great amount of thought. The result was VM Technocoatings.
We started operations in 2004 in Greater NOIDA with a plant to manufacture multilayered kraft paper edge protectors. Later, we diversified into paper honeycomb laminates. The twin combination of paper edge protectors and honeycomb resulted in innovative developments of eco-friendly, strong, sustainable packaging solutions as a replacement of expanded polystyrene.
Be Local. Go Global. That is our driving ambition. It has led us to develop indigenous, innovative techniques focused on using design structurals to deliver cost effective and strong packaging solutions. More and more companies now choose our paper based recyclable packaging, recognizing value and that it is our contribution to save the world.
VM Technocoatings is an ISO & FSC certified, follows highest standards of quality control and delivers custom solutions to each client. For us each problem is a challenge to overcome. If a product needs secure packaging, we can do it.
While we excel in engineering, we focus on design too. Our unit has a centralized designing unit backed by engineering support to come up with radical solutions based on honeycomb-edge protector combinations. The focus is on blending design with structural strength in a light-weight protective shell to withstand rigors of handling and transport.
At the same time, we are working on design of new line of furniture and products based entirely on this combination, possibly contributing to low cost housing development too. The sky is the limit but our roots are firmly grounded. Nothing is impossible.

Welcome to the world of VM Technocoatings. Revolution and evolution come together in our world where we transform something as simple as paper into strong, rigid, sustainable, eco-friendly packaging. I cannot say just how grateful I am to our enlightened customers who have given us invaluable support and encouragement. I am indebted to our team of researchers, engineers and staff members for their undying enthusiasm to power VM to success.
We have achieved success and reached a stage where we can help manufacturers switch over to sustainable paper based packaging. This, however, is but a starting point to more innovations we are planning in the use of the edge protector and honeycomb combination to create astounding pieces of furniture like tables, cupboards and chairs and we even plan to develop sustainable low cost temporary and permanent, energy efficient shelters and homes. If paper can protect products, it can protect people too.

Infrastructure
Ever since it set up manufacturing operations in 2004 at Greater Noida, VM Technocoatings has been updating technologies and equipments. Today, VM Technocoating boasts of automated, computer controlled manufacturing lines to process over 10,00,000 meters of kraft paper per month or 20 tonnes per day. The lineup includes automatic paper cutters, folders and gluing equipment among others. We have in-house power generation equipment to assure uninterrupted power supply.
At the core is a design and research & development wing responsible for coming up with inventive and innovation packaging solutions for clients based on their requirements. Our lab has the latest in testing equipments to test across several parameters to assure faultless quality and performance.
Our unit is well laid out into different sections segregated into raw material intake and quality testing, pre-production preparation, production, finishing and quality checks.
Trained, qualified and hand-picked personnel complement our equipment line up.
Quality
If we have grown to become the trusted and reliable packaging products supplier for reputed enterprises it is due to our rigorous adherence to quality standards. VM Technocoatings is an ISO certified company and we follow precise guidelines at each stage to assure quality of our products. Right from the input stage when we select adhesives and paper based on stringent specifications to processing, production and delivery, we have defined quality protocols in place implemented by designated quality control engineers.
Tests conducted on paper include tear and shear strength of paper according to GSM ratings. Tests for honeycomb boards and paper edge protectors cover torsional rigidity test, flexural strength, compressive strength and load bearing capability among others. Where specified by customers we use fire resistance coatings and test for fire resistance of our products.
